The Adventures of Antoine Doinel (Les Aventures d’Antoine Doinel) film series comprises five films by François Truffaut depicting the life of Antoine Doinel at different stages. In The 400 Blows (1959), we see his troubled adolescence and being sent to reform school. The “Antoine and Colette” segment of Love at Twenty (1962) portrays his first loves. Stolen Kisses (1968) follows his various jobs and romantic relationships. Bed and Board (1970) shows his married life, and finally, Love on the Run (1979) looks back at his past and concludes his story. This series offers an intimate look at the character’s life over time.
