The Green Street collection delves into the violent and passionate world of football hooliganism in England. The first film, Green Street (2005), tells the story of Matt Buckner, an expelled American college student who gets involved with his brother-in-law’s firm, the West Ham United hooligan firm, and discovers its dangerous underground culture. The sequels, Green Street 2: Hooligans (2009) and Green Street 3: Never Back Down (2013), follow new stories within the same subculture, exploring the consequences of violence and loyalty, although they do not directly involve the characters from the first film.
